2006 Focus Christmas Party

The annual Focus Christmas party is always a very special event and this year was no exception.  Enormous effort goes towards making this party an expression of the great fellowship that is experienced by the Macedon Ranges Focus Group.

Mary McGowan was the guest speaker.  She represented the newly opened Childrens Cancer Center at the RCH.  Mary delivered an update on the treatment of childhood cancer and an overview of the new cancer unit including the new labs at the hospital.

CIKA was well represented by its members, many of whom were winners in the monster Christmas raffle!  Six prizes were donated by this wonderful group.  Focus is a social group whose various activities throughout the year raise money for their charity of choice which is CIKA.  Once again a generous amount of $5000 was presented to the CIKA President, Sandra Lehrer, and Secretary Bernie Dawson  The donation was, as always, given with great affection by the Focus members.
