Face-to-face at last

The Macedon Ranges Focus Group is CIKA’s longest standing support group.  Its members have been enthusiastic fundraisers for the more than 21 years that they have been involved with us.  Their activities are diverse, but their annual Christmas party is the highlight of the year… This year was especially important because covid has forced the cancellation of many of the Group’s monthly meeting over the last two years.

Understandably, it was a great relief that the Christmas luncheon was able to go ahead in the lovely setting of the Goonawarra golf club in Sunbury.  Several CIKA members, including Lucia from the RCH, were in attendance and there was a lot of catch up chatter.  This was followed by the enthusiastic singing of Christmas songs.  The event was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone lucky enough to be there.

We thank President Robyn and her committee who have worked so hard through the challenging times this year and last to keep members up to date.  We are particularly grateful for their presentation to CIKA of a cheque to support the Children’s Cancer Centre Biobank at the RCH.
