2017 Hospital Visit

In October 2017 we welcomed sixteen students, along with their teacher Debbie Hudson, on a visit to the RCH. This has become an annual event. The morning started with a tour of the hospital followed by a welcome morning tea. The students were then presented with their certificates and badges in appreciation of their fundraising efforts for this term.

We then moved to the Children’s Cancer Centre laboratories at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute where Dr Louise Ludlow took the students on a guided tour and explained how the money that they raise contributes to the research undertaken there.

The CIKA team appreciates the long and generous fundraising that has been undertaken by the students at MLC, a result of the input and support of the staff at the school.

The 2017 visitors arrived on October 24 and posed for this photograph outside the MCRI with (left to right) RCH tumour bank coordinator Louise Ludlow, Auxiliaries Manager Michelle Rule, teacher Debbie Hudson, MCRI represenatives, Rebecca Hartford, and Shannon Corby.
