Tractor Trek 2025
This year the Old Time Wood Days celebrates thirty years as a major fundraiser for CIKA each November. Recently this has been preceded by the annual Tractor Trek which has always attracted a lot of local support and this year was no exception.
Over 32 drivers with their partners and families gathered at Heywood Ag Sales and Service in Heywood, fifteen kilometres south west of Milltown in Western Victoria where the November event is scheduled to take place. CIKA is very grateful to Heywood Ag Sales and Service for being a major supporter of Wood Days for many years.
The meetup was followed a trek to Breakaway Hall where a luncheon of sandwiches, soup and slices was served.
After lunch there was a further trek to the Wood Days block at Milltown in time for the evening fundraising events which included a spinning wheel and a live auction. The group of nearly seventy then enjoyed a sit-down dinner during which there were a number of private donations to CIKA, for which we are most grateful. A big ‘Thank you’ to all of the generous donors.

Following a breakfast of egg and bacon rolls next morning, there was a final catch up with friends, stories were told and tractors inspected. A BBQ lunch completed the weekend and the participants and volunteers departed to their homes.
A great weekend was had by all and raised $6,595.33 to help in the fight against childhood cancer. Well done everyone and a particular ‘Thank you’ to the Duyvestan Family for their planning and organisation of this most-enjoyable event.
Don’t forget that this year’s Wood Days are scheduled for November 8 and 9, so put the date into your calendar now and be assured of a weekend full of interest and fun.
