Another Great Success for Joan and Belinda

Driven by the infectious enthusiasm of CIKA committee member Ruth Edelsten, the Bendigo community has been supporting CIKA for many years.  This commitment is exemplified by well-known painter and sculptor, Joan Halpin, who has opened her studio several times to raise funds for CIKA.  The most recent of these popular events took place on November 23rd.

This open house exceeded all expectations with an amount exceeding $1,500 being raised.

Joan, along with her friend and painter Belinda John, presented a large array of their works and the day was complemented by morning or afternoon tea, with a glass of champagne. There was a large array of goods for sale to early Christmas shoppers.

We are most grateful to Joan for her continued support of CIKA and also to Belinda for her commitment to our cause.  We appreciate the amount of work that goes into the planning and organisation of these events, and what a terrific outcome.
