A Welcome Communication

CIKA members were delighted to receive an Instagram message from Thomas Carafa two days ago.  Thomas was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when he was one year old.  After successful treatment he is now living a happy adult life.  You can read his story here, but meanwhile, here is what he wrote in his message to us.

Great to see you guys helping kids with cancer, it honestly melts my heart.  Always think of you guys for the love and support you had given my family and I for many years throughout my time at the royal children’s hospital.  I would love one day to visit you guys down at the RCH in weeks to come.  Keep up the fantastic work.

Those of you who have been frequent visitors to this website and our previous one will recognise this photograph of Thomas who was our poster boy for many years.

We are working on organising a visit to the RCH with Thomas.
