Focus Luncheon – April 2016

Dr Louise Ludlow was the guest speaker at the Macedon Ranges Focus Group luncheon on April 8th. Louise established and now manages the Children’s Cancer Centre Tissue Bank and her talk centred around her background and the research she has undertaken at the Mudroch Children’s Research Institute. Focus Group members are great believers in the work that CIKA funds and the enthusiasm produced by her talk was evident from the very lengthy question session that followed. You can read what she had to say by clicking here.

Also attending the luncheon at the Gisborne Golf Club were the President of Templestowe Auxiliary, Anne Peter-Budge, and her treasurer, Raelene Trotter, who, inspired by a talk given at a RCH auxiliary function by Professor Richard Saffery, presented a cheque for $23,000 to CIKA to contribute to the funding of the Tissue Bank. This is a wonderful collaboration between two auxiliaries.
