Children’s Cancer Centre Biobank

CIKA has supported the CCC Biobank at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute for several years. It was established to collect tumour samples to assist with research into childhood cancer. It is coordinated by Louise Ludlow who has provided us with a copy of a recently-produced video that explains the purpose of the biobank to families who might be willing to give consent for sample collection. Louise reports that it is already proving to be a useful tool to initiate the consent discussion for the CCC Biobank in clinic and on the ward.

The video gives an excellent insight to the work supported by CIKA and can be viewed by by clicking here.

Thankyou Louise for allowing us to share it.
